It's all been in a case for a while..
I use to use it a good deal.. Still takes beautiful Photos....

The camera case is leather.. and the Big camera bag ....

So what do ya'll say it's worth...

Private camera sales are typically not more than 60 percent of the better used camera sites. I see Canon F1 bodies going for ~$150 on those sites, so $90USD should be about right for private sale, plus or minus for condition.

    Sites I checked:

    KEH.com
    used.natcam.com

Heck at that price it sounds like it doesn't pay for me to try and sell it..
Condition is mint... It has 2 lens .. Oh well....
Yes it has age .. But sure doesn't look like it....

    Thanks Ziggy53

You should see what's happened to the valuation of my Hasselblad 500C system. rolleyes1.gif

Old film cameras have not done well to keep their value in the digital age. I did give away an old Canon body and lens last year to a budding teen photographer (daughter of a friend).

Yes I know ... I can't even get 35mm film in my area....
I was hoping to sell it and get a nice digital Camera to replace it ..

I don't want to go over 300 for a Digital camera..
So the nice Canons are out of the question...

Maybe like a Nikon L820.. I would like a nice zoom for taking pic of Hummingbirds ..
WE have like 300 of them....

Go to ebay and see what they are selling for. I think your price of $450 is way too high. I had a Canon A1 with a couple Canon lenses that sold for $150. The market for film cameras just isn't what it used to be.

I'd be shocked if someone paid half that price. VERY few people want film cameras these days, and those that do are typically looking for very specific models. Medium formats, Leicas, Rollei, etc. The lenses don't look compelling either.

    Thanks ya'll..

The ranges on Ebay are from $ 249 to a grand (brand new)..
Without goodies... My F1 is mint...
Plus all the leather goodies..You see in the photo is going with it..

Just a non working F1 body only.. Is cheap up to $ 199..
But working ones do seem to go higher..

    Ok, so do this:

    1. Photograph and detail EACH piece of your collection.
    2. I note that Excellent condition F1's are going for $150-$199 at KEH. That's a company with real overhead that is offering a real warranty. Private sale is going to be less.
    3. List out each lens, and let's see what market rate is for them.

Your photo showing all the "goodies" doesn't help. We can't see condition, brand, or anything else that would help put value to what you are trying to sell. You keep saying the F1 is mint, but the photo you've provided makes it looks well used. So help us out there.

The one F1 that I saw on ebay for $1000 had 0 bids. The ones that were actually selling were closer to $250. But it's your camera ask what you want and go from there. Check out KEH Camera at this link. http://www.keh.com/search?store=camera&brand=Brand&category=Class&k=Canon%20F1&s=1&bcode=Brand&ccode=Class&grade=Grade&sprice=0&eprice=0&r=SE&e

Asking prices on eBay are no guide. Instead, look at completed sales. Some people might pay more than KEH, but folks who know what they are doing won't--why buy from a stranger, with no guarantee, when you can buy from a reputable firm with a guarantee for less?

Congratulations on the new camera, LadyDraco. Yes, the Nikon Coolpix L840 looks like a reasonably competent digicam!
