Folders do not show in menu / Hover Transparency College Portrait

Hi,
I have my menu set up partially, Id like to see the folders on the pull down. For example I have in my pull down menu a category called SPORTS. I have broken all my sports into separate folders classifying them by the year. See Here: http://megmac.smugmug.com/ How can I show my folders when the pull down is clicked, for example if you click Little league you will be taken to all the folders, great, but Id like the folders to show in the menu.
Also, In a gallery Id like the thumbnails to show a bit of transparency when you hover over them. I use college portrait. Currently if I click on Customize and hover over the thumbnails they will show a bit of transparency, but only here. Can any one help? Thanks in advance.
