Inappropriate icon

I have not unveiled but viewing sites that have why is there an icon to the left of photo details that's
giving my visitors the finger?:huh

The only thing I can figure out is it's the "like" icon. Why not just say "Like" there like all the other
sites otherwise noone will find it.

    I agree, Likes will decrease immensely with this new arrangement.
    I thought it was some kind of graph at first.

    And why do I have to be subjected to a log in page that wont remember my password and has a huge picture I didn't take?

    Cheers,

    Meh, it's a thumbs up. Pretty universal.
    Still, if you guys don't like it, why not take matters into your own hands, and do like beardedgit

    took me like 15 seconds to add the CSS.

    .sm-button.sm-button-image-sizes:after{
    content:" Sizes"
    }

    .sm-button.sm-button-image-comment:after{
    content:" Comment"
    }

    .sm-button.sm-button-image-info:after{
    content:" Info"
    }

    .sm-button.sm-button-image-edit:after{
    content:" Tools"
    }

    .sm-button.sm-button-image-like:after{
    content:" Like"
    }

    .sm-lightbox-panel .sm-button.sm-button-image-share:after{
    content:" Share"
    }

    Cheers,

    Just not sure why login won't stick ne_nau.gif I run 4 different sites on SM, using 3 browsers, and have never had a password issue. Are you certain you have cookies enabled properly?

    SmugMug is about photos. I love that they've added gorgeous photos to as mundane a page as login page. Makes it much happier!

    I don't understand this either.
    Every time I log in I have type in my email and password.
    I do not have this problem with all the other sites I have to log in to.

    Thanks for the code, having the text is much better!

    Still lots of problems to solve.

    The sort bug keeps rearranging my pictures on me and the 1-9 / 9-1 needs to be available while the manual sort option is on as it was in the old smugmug.
    I went into gallery settings and changed the cover photo clicked OK and it rearranged the order of my photos even though the gallery was set to manual sort.
    Hours or work thrown out the window!

    The gallery slideshow isn't recognizing Original as one of the sizes.

    To be honest, I added the "Like" label because the "Like" icon alone looks nothing like a "thumbs-up", at first I thought it looked a bit like a tiny bar-chart. I asked a fair few folk here what they thought the icon was and nobody could figure it out.

    Personally I think the chosen icon is a heap of crap. Is that really the best icon SM could find? I just Go ogled ""Like" icon", clicked "images" and found hundreds that look better than the SM PoS.

    Cheers,

    I have to log in again each time I go to my Tools section on my Homepage. (even on Legacy) It's a PITA. I used to only need to re- log in when I wanted to access "Advanced Customization". And yes, what was once instantaneous is now a wait to see a big photo. It's pretty & all, just a little much each time you have to log in, which is more frequently than before. It could be cut down to half the size & be just as or even more effective.

    Also, to what Beardedgit said here: "Is that really the best icon SM could find? I just Go ogled ""Like" icon", clicked "images" and found hundreds that look better than the SM PoS."... Does this mean there's no way to get one of those different icons he found, on New Snug? The built-in one did look very odd, but I'm not nuts over the "like" worded one either.

    Hey folks, this thread's about the "Like" icon, not about the login issue (for which there are already plenty of suitable threads).

    You do know you can upload any image you want and use it in SmugMug's icon's place. Simple CSS image .....

    I know that I can, and I know that I don't know how (yet) but it looks like this old dog has yet another trick that he needs to learn.
    All things considered, would it be feasible to implement a facility where we can choose an icon-set just like we can choose a font (Customize > Customize Site > Entire Site > Theme > Active Theme > Wrench > Edit Theme > Fonts)?
