Background photo for top of page

I'd like to put a background photo behind the Logo/Menu/Social Icon blocks at the top of the page (template style Smokey). Since this would be a horizontal slice of a photo I'd also like to be able to set the vertical height of the background photo and via drag-n-drop be able to adjust the photo for best display. I'm trying to replicate the FLICKR top of page display www.FLICKR.com/photos/kpzaremba/

    I created a background image to go across the entire top of the page. Maybe this thread will help you....

    I forgot my manners, thank you for the help. I was able to accomplish what I wanted.
