Customise Search Results

Is there a way to have the search results show in the same format as Galleries? and following on from this, be able to view the results as if they were in there own gallery so you can view them one after another in Lightbox view or even view a slideshow?

    Currently the /keyword page acts as you want but the /search does not. The /search page shows
    results for galleries not photos.
