Having fun with the new tools, but need help to fix a few things. How to you make a contact me page and guestbook? Also is there a way to remove the slideshow button on my guestbook page.

Thanks in advance

For the contact page you go to the menu option when in Customize, then the links tab. Click the + sign to add a Link, type in the name you want and then from the Link To drop down select Contact Form. Make sure you have your Profile under Account Settings filled in with info and a picture or you get a generic picture.

For the Slideshow button here is a thread with the CSS code to remove the button: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=236755&highlight=remove+slideshow+button

How do you get the contact form to pre-fill in an email address?

Assume you mean for the To field. I believe it comes from your Profile entered under Account Settings.

    Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see a "Links Tab". ne_nau.gif

    Do this:
    1. Go to Customize Site
    2. Then select Entire Site at top right
    3. Then click on the little wrench icon of the nav bar container. You'll have to hover over the nav bar to see it.
    4. Go to Links tab in the pop-up window
    5. Click the "+" button to add a new Link
    6. Select Contact Form from the URL field
    7. Done

Ah, that makes sense. I'm using a custom navigation in my header container, so I don't use the nav bar....I deleted it. The Contact Form link doesn't work on my site because of my custom work, so I'll just use my contact form from my Wordpress site.

Greetings Masters of all Things Cool.

How do I change the picture and the Header on the Contact Form? I have a cool mustache, but nothing like that.

    Thanks,

Did you set a contact email in your account settings + respond to the verification email? I believe you need to do that before you will be able to set up the contact link.

Ok, I've got the contact form working after they blocked the Wufoo iframe hack, but I don't like how the To: field has my SM name in it. Does anyone know how to customise that?

New SmugMug Contact Form e-mail Problem

I am having the same problem you reported. I've migrated from the Legacy to the new format and am about to go live with my new site but have this one problem remaining. I want to add a Link on my Main Menu for my Contact form. When I click Contact Form in the Link section, I get the red triangle stating I need an e-mail in my Profile. I already have one. I verified it is there. Did you get your problem resolved and if so, how?

You will probably need to re-verify your customer contact email address by adding it to your profile. The legacy customer contact and new customer contact email addresses are two different database fields

I'm making a new site for someone, no migration involved here, and am having the same problem with the warning triangle saying I have to specify the email address and confirm it. That has been done, filled out and confirmed, it's showing there, all information is filled out in the Profile section, yet it is still not letting me make a link to point to the Contact Form.

Did you respond to the e-mail they sent? It took me a few bewildered minutes last week to realize "verify" didn't mean, "Check that it's in the box". It means, "Look at the inbox for that address and respond to SmugMug's e-mail verification". -- Jim Ringland

All is working, was user error. The client was only verifying the Paypay address email. He didn't even open the email from Smugmug asking for him to confirm his email address for the profile section.
