Map this not working

I have set up the map on its own page and made it unlisted.
I already had some photos geo tagged and they are showing on the map. However all the new photos I am tagging are not showing for some reason. The gallery settings for the photos are ok as far as I can see (i.e. not unlisted, inheriting etc). I have the maximum photos set at 200 for the map and there are only about 60 or so on it now.
I have also tried changing the map page from unlisted to listed but this made no difference.
Is there something I'm missing?

    Do you have it set to popular photos, or recent photos?

    Currently set to popular photos. When I change it to recent photos I only get about 7 photos showing.
