Gallery Settings (I'm in a loop)

I seem to be having an issue controlling 'gallery settings' from either of the two ways I've found to browse to them.

When I'm in the 'organize site' view, after clicking on a gallery in the left navigation and selecting 'settings' I'm presented with a modal dialog to 'save or cancel' settings. Problem is I've not changed any settings yet.

If I browse to the menu 'customize' > 'gallery settings' while viewing any gallery on my site I experience the same modal pop up.

Example gallery I'm trying to change: http://www.nicolelove.com/Travel/Croatia

I also cannot create a new gallery due to the same UI loop. If I reload the page upon encountering this modal, I can continue working but would appreciate anyone's suggestions on how to modify gallery settings.

I'm a SmugMug Pro user on Mac OS 10.8.4 using Chrome Version 29.0.1547.62. Please see the attached screenshot.

Thanks in advance!

Seems the tabs in the middle are missing / not showing. The settings menu consist at least out of 5 tabs: "Gallery Settings" on top, a left and a right tab in the middle, and "Cancle" and "Save" at the bottom.
Have you tried to clear browser cache or another browser? Safari maybe?

Ack, my apologies, I forgot to add that clicking 'save' or 'cancel' does not dismiss the modal dialog. I have to reload the page to make it go away.

Thanks for your reply. That's interesting, I do not see anything beyond what I screenshot. I've tried Safari Version 6.0.5 (8536.30.1) and Firefox 16.0.2 and experience the same behavior.

I'll try clearing cache here in a moment.

Hm ;) If clearing the cache does not work and since it is with all browsers, it is maybe a system wide problem. Any changes to it? Updates? Was it always like this?
Any idea which java version you are using?
The settings should look like this:

I'm currently running java version 1.6.0_51 though I think it's disabled for some reason. I think my mac did that awhile back as a preventative security measure.

I've cleared my cache and still experience the issue.

I've always experienced this issue with gallery settings in the new redesigned site. I should note that the 'folder settings' modal dialog works just fine.

Is Java required for the 'gallery settings' modal?

Hm, that's strange. Would say no, its not a java issue.

Since you mentioned a specific gallery in your OP: does it work on other? Have you recently deleted a gallery and/or can you see an orphaned gallery in organizer ?

All galleries exhibit this behavior for me. I've not deleted any galleries and don't see anything that looks orphaned. I purposely didn't make any organizational changes when I switched to the new SmugMug design. I was going to do that now that I've unveiled the initial redesign.

Thanks for your support in helping me solve this!

    perhaps "all galleries" control this

    try this :
first go to your gallery ( customizer closed )
    then : customize site
below galleries : +make this gallery custom

Has this somehow to do with gallery settings? For example to apply security and appearances settings?

Thanks but unfortunately this didn't work. I broke my Arizona gallery off from it's inherited settings unto its own gallery. The same UI modal problem exists as it did before when trying to control this gallery or any others.

    Hi Nicole

Well, it was kind of odd - there was a broken character (displaying as a ? symbol) within your watermark names. (Perhaps it had been the copyright symbol?). Removing that from the watermark names fixed the problem.
