The ability to link to the contact from in legacy smug was via Javascript. As far as I know it's not possible in the new smug right now.
One alternative would be to use a Wufoo form (since that was just implemented as a page element.
Another would be to point the viewer to a Contact entry in your nav (without the link, I know, not a nice alternative).
Thanks Andy - that does for you just what I'm looking for. Precisely how did you use your code to achieve this? Have you just embedded it in an HTML page?

Yup, I just embedded that in an HTML block in a Page. The trick is that I didn't have any special code to make it work, but because of the way the HTML is precisely created to mirror the SM Contact Link in the full footer, it "hijacks" the built-in SM code (jQuery I assume). I do think that if you also had the SM Contact Link in the footer that the Contact Link in the footer likely wouldn't work. Also if they change the way they do their link in the footer my link may stop working.
Dan I really like how you did this how did you get the link at the bottom though?
I added a new Menu bar to the 'Just this page' code, removed all the links and added the simple 'Contact' link Smugmug offer.
I wish they would offer some sort of shortcode to add a button inside HTML content blocks!

I added a new nav bar in, and had that as the only link. It's hard to get a good layout with it being a nav bar though.
