The local 18U team was back in action this weekend. There were two really good games resulting in a tie and a loss for the home team. As always, constructive feedback and comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

    I like the action in 1,4,5,6. These shots tell a story. I'd PS a puck into 1, and add some contrast. I'd like a tighter crop on 6.

    Thank you J. I think this is a much stronger set than my last. I appreciate your advice contributing to that.

    Thank you Jack. Again, I appreciate the advice you gave on my last set helping this one improve. When I was processing #1 I made the comment to my wife how disappointed I was that I missed the puck in it. I didn't think of adding one in PS and honestly don't have the confidence in my post skills yet to try. For #6, do you think cropping it down to only the players and the boards would work?

    I agree with Ian - adding a puck via post process is a very poor idea. While I realize you are not using the images for journalistic purposes (where adding a puck should get you fired) it does, IMO, cross a line non-the-less. Your decision, but it's a "no" vote from me on adding any object to a sports photo in post processing.

    They are great shots that give the feel of the event. You have done a nice job stopping the action in a venue where the light is usually terrible. You don't need to add a puck in #1. You can see they are both looking at it just out of the frame.

    Thank you for the continued comments, especially about the possibility of PS'ing in a puck. Like I said originally, my PS skills are not strong enough to do that. The discussion that has followed has really been food for thought even more so because I am one of those that thinks there is a line between what is a developed photo versus what becomes graphic art.

    Love the shot and honestly can't tell whether the ball was there or not. The shadows make it even harder to tell but, if it is PS, I freely admit my skills are no where hear that.
