Paid Live Tech Support

Does anyone know if there are paid LIVE support options? Personally, I'd rather pay a fee, share my screen and spend 30 minutes with someone who knows the new customization tools. What I want to do is VERY basic but I'm 3+ hours into trying to figure it out and have gotten nowhere :-(

I am in the same situation! I just want someone to sit down with me...or spend some time working through my issues. I've wasted more than three hours on this and have gotten nowhere.
I would gladly pay for a help session.

Have you tried following the videos and working through slowly following each step?

I have. But I just have questions along the way that I can't seem to resolve. I really think all it would take is a short conversation or chat. Writing e-mails and watching general tutorials just isn't addressing my questions. And I'm not really that interested in going through another learning curve that apparently is needed to do this customization.

I agree, forums and emails aren't for everyone. I don't know about any smug sanctioned live support other than the usual routes, but I've helped put together a few sites and would be willing to walk you through your customization. Check out my site and http://studiokyk.com for examples of recent customizations.

There are SmugMug "Advanced Customizers" like FastLine Media that do these things for a fee. They have templates, etc, that you can pick from, or you can custom design a site. You set a temporary password to your site, send it to them, and a week later they come back and say "You're all set"! I had them do my Legacy SmugMug site and was blown away by their results!
