I'd like to be able to break long lists into two columns (or more if required) when they return more than, say, 20* entries. Currently any list of more than 20 entries extends down below the fold (unless I reduce the vertical padding with CSS) and requires scrolling, longer lists would be even more unwieldy.

I'm not sure of the facts but I'm told that it can't be done with CSS and that it would need javascript (there was a hack for this in Legacy), so this would have to be built-in by SM.

* Having some control of the break-point would be a bonus.

What are my chances?

Don't bother with this request if I'm the only one that wants it, I've cobbled-together a workaround.
