New slideshow often doesn't use original size images

I was happy to see that the slideshow module for new smugmug now supports sizes bigger than XL3 if you set the gallery to allow larger than XL3 sizes. On my homepage ( http://lagemaatphoto.smugmug.com ), I use such a slideshow. However it often doesn't actually go to the larger (original) size, even though the gallery is set to allow this. The behavior is quite inconsistent and it sometimes shows the larger sizes but often doesn't. This is unfortunate as it looks really ugly when the slideshow doesn't scale and you get a small (XL3) sized image in a see of black on larger monitors. This could be solved by having the slideshow module stretch images above their resolution, or allowing sizes larger than XL3 to show (as they should according to the notes when the updated slideshow was released)
