Link from Homepage to Gallery not working

My homepage is multiple photos from a gallery. At the homepage when you select you are taken to the gallery but then to a single picture in lightbox. It like one hit select twice, I want to stop at the galley view, not lightbox

That's not currently possible with the Multiple Photos block. You'd have to replace it with either multiple Single Photo blocks (which can have a custom URL for the link) or an HTML block.

Maybe I am not clear. My homepage is set to multiple photos and select from gallery, not no action or go to lightbox. When you click on a photo you go to the gallery for an instance, 1/10 of a sec, then to a lightbox view of the photo. If i change it to no action, that is ok. If I change it to go to lightbox that also works. When I change it back to go to gallery it goes to the gallery for an instance, 1/10 of a sec then to the lightbox view. I even deleted the content block and re-added it. Sounds like a bug or I dont have something set correctly.

Nope, that's how it's designed to work. It makes more sense as an option for SmugMug style galleries, where it just shows the image on the right hand pane.

You are saying then that from my Homepage, 8 photos from a gallery of 24 pictures that when I select 1 of the 8 that I go to a single picture lightbox view and can scroll thru the 24 pictures one by one. In order to see all 24 pictures in a landscape view I go thru browse to the specific gallery. Then the option on the homepage settings to go to gallery or open in lightbox are dedundant

Yes, that's right. Although "open in lightbox" actually works differently because it doesn't leave the page, closing the lightbox will leave you on the homepage instead of inside the gallery.
