Barn Owl at Bear River Bird Refuge, Utah 12/11/13
Most birds don't give you much time to photograph them... So you have to take a picture quickly and quietly... My car was parked in snow, which I eventually ended up stuck in for a little bit... And due to the angle of his perch I had to step out the car and set the camera on the tripod. It was about 15°... but a beautiful day to photograph this subject! I'm thankful it sat long enough for me to capture it's portrait...
