Collage landscape not loading all photos on Ipad

Hi,

I noticed myself and also heard from people accessing my galleries on an Ipad (ios 7), that sometimes the collage landscape view will not load further images when scrolling down (e.g. Pulling the page up would normally cause further images to load at the bottom of the page). This happens at random. The only solution is to reload the page.

As a side effect, the sideshow only shows the photos loaded so far.

    Hi Dutchphoto,

Could you please send us a link to the page that is causing this issue for you? We would like to run some testing for you.

    Just happened on this gallery:
    http://dutchphotographer.smugmug.com/National-Parks/Iceland-2012/Iceland-Holiday-Pictures

Note I stopped scrolling after being half way the gallery than a few minutes later it refuses to load any more

it's pretty random though. Happens to more or less all galleries.

Ps. Tried it agin same gallery, now stopped after showing 60 images....

    Hi,

I did some testing on my iPad and the images are loading fine. The loading time slows down at the bottom of the gallery - but that is a normal behaviour {caching images on your device}. I was able to load all of your images.

You could try emptying the cache in your browser - here you can find instructions on how to do this:

    I'll try that later.
I wonder, did you try loading part of the gallery, stop scrolling, wait until every image is loaded and the login footer shows again, keep de footer line at the bottom of the page but don't pull up, wait a minute, then try to load more

I cleared the cache but that doesn't make a difference. I can get the gallery to stop loading in many cases by going up and down quickly from top to bottom. At some point pull up doesn't trigger loading any more.

But as i said before, it's pretty random and doesn't occur always.

    Hi,

Thank you for the details. What is the version of OS that you are using on your iPad? What is the iPad version that you are using? How much space you have left on your device?

    Ipad 4, 64 gb, 20 Gb free, ios 7.04.
But I experienced this problem since the new Smugmug was unveiled, just didn't get around reporting it, most things get solved anyway. But a few weeks ago ago I shared this gallery with a colleague, and he told me he had the same problem, and therefore used his PC instead of his Ipad.

    Thank you for the information.

This could be a caching issues on the iPad, but I will report this to our engineers - maybe they will have a better solution for this.

    Please standby.
