Just the other day I started to receive the following error message trying to upload to my SM account... Not sure if it's a SM thing or Firefox??? Nothing has changed on my end to my knowledge and it's worked flawlessly for years.

What I get:

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.smugmug.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

www.smugmug.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.akamaihd.net , *.akamaihd-staging.net , a248.e.akamai.net

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

    Hi M38A1,

I have tried to replicate this behaviour using latest version of Firefox - without a success.

What is the version of Firefox that you are using? Have you tried to empty cache and cookies in your browser?

    Standing by.

I had this same experience several times recently. I closed the loader and tried again and then it worked properly.
    I use Firefox ver 26.

    Cheers,

I was using FF23.0.1 when the problem started. I just updated to FF26 and the images went straight through with no issue. When it does happen, my workaround has been to simply close the SM tab, then open it again and it works.

I'm getting the identical error message. Firefox 26.0, OSX 10.9.1

The "X" button to close the dialogue box doesn't work. Nor does the "Close" button at the bottom of the dialogue box. It's totally unresponsive. I used the back key to go back to the gallery page, then tried to upload again. Same problem.

I opened smugmug in a new tab and then the uploader worked fine.
    Sid.
