Allow Slideshow from Search Results

I really keep hoping smugmug implements a feature that will allow a site visitor to view a slideshow of search results. It would be nice if for instance on my site someone could search "Ecuador 2014" and get the current search result view of the results but also have a button they could click to view the results as a slideshow.

    Hi Margy,

    We're sorry for any inconvenience. This is a great feature request for the new search.

    However in the meantime the slideshow button actually DOES show up by default in keyword galleries. You currently have the slideshow button hidden with your advanced CSS customization under your theme. So, it won't show up in the keyword gallery results (these keyword gallery pages can be seen when someone clicks on a keyword below a photo and/or if they click on a keyword in the keyword cloud.)

    Should show the slideshow button as this page does: http://phyxius.smugmug.com/keyword/antelope/i-sxnqs25

    Please check your customization and edit or remove the parts that are hiding the slideshow button, if you would like for it to show instead. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, we are always happy to help!

    Are there plans to offer this option in the future?

    So that from the everyone's search page such as http://www.margygreen.com/search

    the displayed results can have a slideshow.

    While the keyword page does what I want in terms of display and slideshow. I have too many keywords showing up making that method too unwieldy for me.

    Now if there was a way to show a keyword search box above the keywords that could possibly be a win win as visitors could search a specific word they had in mind or browse existing keywords. But at this point the main search box defaults back to the regular search page.

    The reason I made the slideshow button hidden is because the slideshow button doesn't offer the ability to show captions. I know my homepage can have captions but to my knowledge i don't think clicking the slideshow button in galleries gives the option for captions. Has that changed? I like displaying captions to provide the taxonomy and location.

    Similar to this, I think, would be an option (customizable) to have the search results show up in the user's default gallery style (or better yet...allow us to choose the gallery style for our search results). So if I want search results to show up in Smugmug gallery style, so the user can browse through the results, launch a slideshow, enter the lightbox, etc., they can do that.

    This is like how keyword galleries work...but would allow a user to easily navigate through all search results.

    Another good idea...or have the search results page list "keywords" as another matching option (like it allows you to choose photos, photos and videos, etc...would be nice if it let you choose "keywords."

    Another of my irritations with new Smugmug, and one of the reasons I feel like I can't unveil.
