    #1 is solid! Personally, I would try to dim/darken the background. I think the bird would still maintain its glow/warmth and pop more and look better. JMO

    Thanks for the comments. I darkened the back some on #1 any better.

    It is nicer....but did you lower exposure for whole shot? Maybe try to darken just the shadows....if not, then keep it as it is right now and try and increase highlights. Cheers!

    No just darkened the back but did seem to dim the bird down.

    I have to learn a lot in terms of processing tricks....so not an expert....but here is another idea....if you move towards your original setup....but just slightly dimmed and not as much...and then add vignetting...till it dampens the back ground but leaves the beautiful glowing bird alone....Hope that does the trick!
