Option to show folder description

Can we have an option to display folder meta description on the folder pages

This can be done either as a folder setting or via a new content block (easier to apply to All Folders this way)

This was possible in old smugmug, where the rendered html markup contained this data. See example from my website here: http://photography.ashish-pragya.com/Travel/China-2007

Can we have an option to display gallery description in gallery listing (eg: on the folder pages)

Hi Ashish,

Are you referring to the text description between the breadcrumb and the galleries? If so, you can do this by adding a text content block the folder. For example:

But this block would need to be added per folder since folders do not currently have description fields.

Should this feature request maybe be to allow us to enter a description at the folder level (and then an option to show it on folder pages). It seems like that would be a more ideal way to meet the OP's needs than having to customize a separate page for each folder.

Folders have a meta description. The content being shown in my old smugmug that I linked to has not been manually added to the page. Smugmug is rendering it from the description saved. I can see the same description in folder settings in new smugmug, but there is no option to render it anywhere on page
Adding a content block will manually repeat this information

besides, the other point about gallery descriptions can't really be done by adding content blocks without repeating all the data and somehow keeping them in sync.

I have also raised a feature request here: bring back gallery and folder descriptions on folder pages

folder descriptions
Is this possible with the basic plan or do you need the power plan? I currently have the basic plan and can't quite see where to do this sort of customization.
