    MINI #184 F.T.F. - The (actual) Results!
Thanks again to all who entered this Mini... it's a very diverse and interesting group of images!
So, here's my favorites, some of which probably conform very closely to the theme/idea
and some which may expand the interpretation, but are - for me - awesome and compelling images.

    Honorable Mentions INPO

    superduckz - Main St Bridge
    p1591908510-5.jpg
Although the subject appears large, I don't see this one as particularly frame-filling - but I really like the image... the detail and tones are very nice - excellent conversion.

    kentwaller - sainte-chapelle
    IMG_9681_Detail-XL.jpg
Again architecture, a closer crop of just a few sections of the stained glass would be more frame-filling, but the unique beauty of the church,
and just the idea of the building/making such a thing is very impressive... nice capture.

kdotaylor - Water on a Leaf
    wateronleaf-L.jpg
All three images are very nice, but I'm a big fan of natural patterns/textures, and this has wonderful
examples of both... the focused magnification in the droplet is perfect!

    DonRicklin - Buoy time
    IMGP7052-L.jpg
Love this one... very frame-filling - the colors, shapes, and charm of the subject stand-out.

    lifeinfocus - "Lines"
    20140317%20Blanket_PWI8908-L.jpg
I would have cropped this a little closer, but I like it a lot for the color, texture, and the "lines".
This one is a good example of finding fun subjects in everyday stuff.

    CHANDLERJA - Neck Strain
    uprs%20final%20color2-XL.jpg
I love this one - easily should be one of the winners! We've all seen this done before, but this one stands-out to me because of the four different sets of
reflections and textures on the buildings - great sky and technical excellence too!

On to the top three... as always, tough to narrow-down and establish "places" as they all have strong, equal appeal to me - but someone must carry the baton!

    Third Place
sappphire73 - Shoes (of school children in Kenya)
    i-72nZhdW-L.jpg
When communicating our humanity in images, we often concentrate on faces, bodies, etc. I love when an image tells us
something about people with elements more subtle - in this case, the simplicity of just legs, shoes, and socks... wonderful image and treatment!

    Second Place
billseye - "One Feather" - Venerable Hippy of East Beach
    Untitled-Edit-L.jpg
So, here's the human face I spoke-of... and what a face - cool image! There were several very nice portraits submitted,
but this image has an intense, off-beat impact that appeals to my inner-grunge. Eyes are, indeed, windows to the soul.

    First Place
    davev - Ghost
    13051356434_5b1256c131_b.jpg
WOW! is all I need to say about this image... to stain the whiteness with additional verbiage seems wrong - congrats Dave!

Thanks again to y'all Dgrinners for the privilege of viewing and choosing your images!

Congratulations, Dave! Gorgeous photo and well-deserved win!

Eric, thank you for running this mini and for your comments on my photo of the shoes (in Kenya). Lots of great entries and a lovely surprise to be mentioned in the results! (Heading back to Kenya in a few months.)
