I've been using an old Walmart tripod at work and the head started getting loose and could be pulled off, so I thought it was time to modify it. I talked to one of the guys in maint. and told him what I wanted to do, and this is what he came up with in less than a half hour. Surprisingly, it is very stable with a Nikon D3200 on it. This saved us quite a bit of money!
