I have pictures 40 years old, may be more, that I want to scan.
The photos are:
30 cms * 40 cms = 0.98 feet * 1.31 feet = 11.81 inches 15.74 inches .
:clap Any tips for a convenient scanner for this purpose ?:clap

Thank you.:):

    Hello Antonio,

I did a similar effort for my family a few years ago - I warn you, it's addicting! I ended up scanning 1500 photos :uhoh

Anyhow, look around at the electronics stores in your area. Here in the U.S., many scanners can be found for $100 USD or less even. Of course, you can spend more!

    Good luck.

Epson makes a number of excellent flat bed scanners that will work nicely. You will need the editing/scanning software that MAY come with the scanner as well as Photoshop to really achieve the best results.

But be careful, most flatbed scanners are limited to 8 inches by 11 or 15 inches. Some scanners will let you combine more than one scan to merge seperate scans into one image, but this will slow things down a whole lot. Wider and longer scanners may be available for the graphics arts industry, but not as a general office tool.
