My site not remembering me

This has been an ongoing problem for a couple of years, but seems to have gotten worse the last few weeks. Problem: I have to log into my site all too frequently. I check the little box for SmugMug to remember me but, after a day or two, the site forgets me again. I DO allow cookies to be written.
It might be connected to when I access my SmugMug site from my iPad or iPhone using the SmugMug Camera! app. I never have to reenter my password when uploading photos via the Camera! app, but after using the app, it seems when I go to access my site via my computer browser I more often than not find I've been logged out.
Is there some kind of time limit within which I would automatically get logged out? If so, how long is that and is there anyway to increase the time limit or eliminate it? Nobody else has access to my computer except me and I'd like it to stay logged in all the time, for days weeks and months at a time.
