Flash as travel companion

Hi,
I just wanted to ask you how do you take your flash friends for your trips, casual for this context.

1.Which light stand do you use when you want to light up something?
2. which batteries charger combo for fast charging?

If I take a flash when I travel I just use it in the hotshoe and bounce it; traveling with lightstands would be a major pain for me..............

Depends on the purpose of the trip and how long the trip is but there a few collapsible light stands that compress to be small so are not that big of deal to travel with. This is the kit I use for my on location stuff.
