A Hill Country Creek on Hwy 337

Going through some old shots and i decided to try this one. Maybe it's too busy, but I like the feeling of the scene. It was foggy that morning. I thought it might work in BW so here are both versions. Any C&C is appreciated.

I can't tell you which creek it is but it is someplace along FM 337, one of the prettiest drives in the TX Hill Country. Randy Wells, I know you've seen these places before.

Like it!

To me the color is better and needed as the "mood" or fog/mist is getting lost in b&w along with the subtle colors, both of which are making the shot.
Seeing it at work monitor which is bright, so maybe it will be different shot at home.

I love the color shot Lauren! I think the balance is perfect between the smooth water and the more subtle trees in the background.

I much prefer the first shot, there is a spooky element in color. Maybe up the saturation a bit and tweak the contrast
for a bigger effect. If it is spooky you are looking for!

Both versions work for me, with two different feelings. The color version is a warmer more inviting scene than the B&W which seems to a colder, more foreboding and desolate feeling.

I tweaked the color version as Crow suggested. How does it look compared to #3?

I prefer the first shot. The changes decrease the mystery and distance. But it's your photo, you be the judge.

I prefer the first one. It allows for the soft and mystery. The second is a bit too abtrusive.
