Thanks Steve. Yes..it does look like an excellent place to shoot. Lots of trees and water. Couple islands with lots of nests. There is even a huge dead tree that rivals "Harry's Tree". Nothing was purching on the tree this day...but. :D Also talked to a bird expert dude...and he told us there is a couple of owls in the area....including a horned owl. There are also eagles, osprey, hawks and vultures that make flybyes. clap.gif Too bad it's not closer.(though not far either) I can't walk out my door and be there. rolleyes1.gif

It's too bad it's not real close. I can't walk or ride ye ole bike down there.

Thanks Ginger. Almost had me a shot of a shrimp boat when I was shooting those other birds at the fishing pier. Just couldn't get a decent shot/angle as it was so crowded at the docks and the sun..oh my god. Right in your eyes..backlighting. Horrible. Too much junk in the area also. Maybe I'll catch the shrimp boat out of dock? ne_nau.gif

Thanks Harry. Let me know when you are coming. I'll buy you a beer and feed you some lunch. If the boats not acting up and you're up for chasing osprey..... we'll make the hair on your neck stand straight out and .....never mind. I'll drive slow. :D

Nice shots Dog. You have a name? You had more birds than I found. Pretty slim pickings (compared to what I've heard) the day I was there. Nokomis eh? heheheeh WHere is that? Holly cow..you must be close. I'm getting nervous now. A Nikonian within striking distance. Harry..did you send him? :D

The Nikon was a give away, Mike. Harry's trademark. :):

I'm assuming all those shots of Mike's are from the Venice Rookery. The first shot is for sure. That's the same tree my anhinga is perched on.
