Selling specialized photos

I am considering upgrading from pro to portfolio so I can sell photos. But i have two different needs:

1. Regular photos for which the SM shopping cart and 15% fee will work fine.

2. Ultra high resolution panorama shots for which I do not want the crop option available. I want to list the available sizes, and give print medium options, but not allow cropping. Sizes might be 15x30, 30x60, etc.

Is there a way to accomodate option 2 in a portfolio account? If not, can I use the regular SM price list for the option 1 photo galleries, and use the custom paypal shopping cart from Sherlock Photography for a panorama gallery?

    Hi Teetime,

To offer a special pricelist, you'll need to jump up to the business account.

We don't have a way for you to turn off cropping in the shopping cart, but we do allow you to add proofing days to your orders, so in the event someone orders and crops one of your images, you can print it with our no crop option, or see if they want to cancel and place a new order for the appropriate size.

When a no crop print is ordered, it will be the same aspect ratio as the image, leaving white borders on two sides. The client would need to trim it, and most likely purchase custom framing.

This link shows you what the no crop option will do on prints: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93268?b_id=1644
