    That's a beast of a lens! Would do bird watchers nicely too I would imagine!

    True for all of the above comments. Razor sharp with incredible bokeh.

    I hate to let it go, but my sports shooting schedule has dropped off significantly and I need to find it a new home.

    I love mine....could never consider getting rid of....so I know your going through withdraw pains.......

    Three lenses in one.........400.....560.....800....and 80% of mine are at 800 and as sharp as it is at 400

    Pity you're not just round the corner from me ... would be tempted :)

    (even tho - for my interests it's got a 'con' ... being larger diameter than the 500 / 4 I use, raises the lens centreline a little ...)
