Great, I'm not really lens-envious - well, just a pale green. Loved the hoopoe and the roller. What I really really envy is the birds you have there.

Congrats Al. That extra reach does make a difference. Good shots with less than ideal llighting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks for looking. Believe it or not, the roller was taken with a Sony F707 and the hoopoe with the much maligned Canon 75-300.

Thanks Harry. The extra reach is really worthwhile, but I'm most impressed with the quality. The lighting is not too hot because the pics were taken around 10am when the sun was already pretty high in the sky :cry

Thanks Mike. Fortunately, it's a Canon mount so it won't fit in Ben's pizza rolleyes1.gif

Thanks Ginger. Getting the lens was one of those wonderful set of circumstances which sometimes comes one's way. I was all prepared to buy a Tamron 200-500 when I found an ad for the Bigma (which had been posted on my birthday), totally by accident.

BTW, happy birthday to you for t'other day. iloveyou.gif

Thanks Yuri. I have a Canon 350d, kit lens, 75-300mm, Sigma 105mm macro and now the Sigma 50-500mm (and never forget, I still have my Sony F707!)
