An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Really nice series, Jack. And it appears that your baby has some gymnastic or dance experience with those splits! She did a great job. Congrats on both the photos and your baby!

Awesome and congrats to your daughter. That's some amazing skiing for a 10 y/o. I'm assuming you couldn't find a position to use the long lens on that run? The OOF backgrounds are much nicer on the shots where you used the longer focal lengths.

Thanks, she is competitive. Yeah, for the slopestyle, 1,2,4,5,11 were taken with my 16-35/4IS sitting on the table-top of one of the jumps. 3 and 6 were taken with my 70-200/2.8II in the trough between jumps. 7,8,9,10 were taken on a different trail, the mogul course, with my 70-200. The slopestyle was tough because when I was standing where 3 and 6 were taken, the skier would disappear from view until they were in the air. I was also trying to use a different vantage point than what I did last year. So I was kind of limited. I think I would like to get a fisheye for the wide-angle shots.
