Initially thought to use this in color as I like the warmth of the light coming through the window, but in the end I opted for BW.

Really nice, Juano. Light, texture, composition all work well. It might be nice in color, but I suspect the mood is rendered better in B&W. thumb.gif

I perfectly agree. It's always the light that makes the scene great. Well done. thumb.gif

bowdown.gif While I'm curious about the color I can't imagine it working as good as this.

The light , lines all seem to be in place with the main object (the man) saying his prayers, I feel he is gone into his world where he is one with god/Allah. This is really beautifull. Like i said in some of my B+W post's these types of pics really are drawing me to B+W,

Agree with everyone -- this is a beautiful shot. All the elements, including your PP are tremendous in this shot. And it seems to be a respectful, and not intrusive, capture.

The five vertical lines are pleasing and the highlights spiritual. The man well grounded in his prayer.

    Lovely!

I echo all the above, nicely done. I'd try a sepia to keep the photojournalistic starkness of the B&W ... yet add a bit of warmth. Just to see if you can enhance an already great shoot.

    Thanks

This was shot in Southern Turkey at a Mosque built in the 1300's on a overcast day. I had to use high ISO to be able to shoot.

    ISO 640
    1/20
    with a 18-200 lens set at 200mm on a D90

I'm glad you like it!! Thanks again for the feedback.

There are several (many?) really fine images back in the pages...
