This lens needs no introduction.
Built like a brick out house.
Sharp as a Schick razor.
Great color rendition.
And, bokeh simply to die for.

It is in PERFECT condition.
Cosmetically and mechanically.

* Aperture blades are oil free and snappy.
* Glass has NO fungus, mold, internal dust or scratches
* Auto focus is fast and accurate.
* Manual switch and focus is spot on.

Hi - appreciate this is an OLD OLD OLD post but thought some may interested to know---You can still buy this lens brand new: https://store.digitalrev.com/product/nikon-nikkor-af-80-200mm/NTk5

I bought one recently from Digitalrev in Hong Kong. This version of the lens is the very last model made by Nikon: 80-200mm f/2.8D AF IF-ED Zoom-Nikkor N - there were 5 versions of this lens in total made over 20 to 25 years -the latest version has the built-in tripod platform/mount.

The price in the UK second hand (used) sell between £500 (goodish condition) to about £700 in mint condition - you can buy brand new from Digital Dev in Hong Kong for £735.50 with free shipping - I was a big cautious in buying mine as I had never dealt with this company previous - I bought, lens arrived in great packaging and I now use it every day - cracking lens.

Although this is technically a grey import, I was able to register the lens with Nikon to keep my Professional Status, which means priority repairs of my equipment when needed.

    Cheers guys
    Andy
