Well, look at you!!

Kate, you've really upped your game. These are so clean and crisp. Your best shots since going full frame and adding the 85mm.

#1 isn't technically perfect, but you've captured a great warmth and loving connection in that photo. Really nice shot.

I really like what you've done with family #2. C is my favorite from that set.

Thank you so much for your comments, Cygnus Studios, Mitchell and jmphotocraft...I've been working hard, and it made me happy to read your notes. My client says she likes the pictures, but she had to give her husband a really bad haircut and asks if I can fix his hair in this picture:

I have no idea how to do this...any thoughts?

You have the basic concept down very well. Capture the feeling of the people. Yes, there are some nit picky things about posing, but portraits are almost all about the feeling of the person and you did that here. Focus your energy on that and the clients will always be happy.

For the hair, some cloning would certainly help, but unless you know what the client is looking for specifically, it could be a deep rabbit hole adding a ton of time to something that is already finished.
