For a second there I thought the title was referring to this forum

...it's been a little slow lately.

The light is lousy, but it's an interesting scene. Was he signalling or was it some sort of religious ritual? Or??

This was taken before sunrise (pretty dark not brightened intentionally).

He was engaged in a religious Hindu ritual on the Ganges River in Varanasi India

Interesting scene. Even though the light is not optimal, I really like how it plays on the smoke form the lamp.

imo, the light is fine - consistent with the time of day...
Interesting glimpse into a different way of life... really like the boats/people in the background.

I was thinking I will be reading how important is to close the light, when you finish editing, to see the photo as it should be seen on calibrated monitor and without any extra light sources. This is what I do anyways. I know you can calibrate it with extra light sources included, but 1) Your monitor must remain stationary 2) Your light source must have consistent warmth.
