I like No.3 a lot, for it's subject, color, and it's bokehliciousness. I want to like No.4 but those stems coming from nowhere are a distraction.

David, thanks very much for the comment. Your reaction to the fourth one hadn't occurred to me but it makes perfect sense.

The lupine is stunning! Poppies are the hardest wildflower for me, the least bit of wind makes them whip around! your Jeep looks protected by the mighty sagauro. Is no. 2 from a cactus? Nice!

Thanks, AnnaMaria. The second one is not a cactus but I don't know what it is. The flowers are about two inches across.

Poppies are a challenge. These were never entirely still. I had to use a high ISO and wait for a lull in the breeze.

#2 is gorgeous. The color in #3 almost looks like a glass sculpture. Nice work.

Thanks, Richard. I pushed the color in #3 farther than I usually do.

Great set. Beautiful wildflower images. I really like the poppies shot, great color and the black background, stunning. I agree about the stems, I'm sure so PS hotshot could clone in the stems, but I personally wouldn't know how.

Lovely collection. No. 1 and 3 are my favourites. About no. 2: I am wondering whether you wanted a pic with sharpness on the hole flower or a macro of the center.

Thanks for the comment, Jorgen. I knew that I would not get the entire flower in focus and that didn't bother me. I just wanted the center to be sharp.

It was a very small flower and I don't own a macro lens. The shot required my telephoto lens and two extension tubes. When the camera is as close as it was here, the depth of field is narrow.
