How can I reduce the size of the standard SmugMug design homepage cover photo ?

Hi, not sure if this has been asked before. At least I couln't seem to find...

I am using standard SmugMug site design with a cover image as part of a/the Profile block on the homepage.
The cover photo displays as a horizontal banner crop of the selected cover image across the top of the homepage.
I find the banner display a bit to high and take up too much vertical space to my liking.

Can anyone tell me how I can reduce the height of this cover photo banner crop of the standard SmugMug site design ?

Add this to your theme's CSS and adjust the height to suit.

.sm-user-ui .sm-page-widget-profile-v2-coverimage div {
    height: 400px !important;
    }

Next I'll check out how to do the 'add to you theme's CSS' in current SmugMug... I was pretty avid in legacy SM with that but need to figure out how all that works in new SM...

Would you also know how I can move the image around within the crop perimeter...? The photo is larger than the cover banner area and is now cropped from the top. I'd like to move the photo up a bit in the banner area.

No idea. I might suggest using Photoshop (or similar) crop it for that cover banner and upload it and use that one.
