As I've read comments about this sort of thing on DG, thought it might be of interest?
Call me out-of-touch with the times - but I've never understood why anyone thinks that posing on an active railroad track is a reasonable thing to do. I wouldn't do it as a photographer, and if someone asked me to stand on a track for a photo, I wouldn't do that either.

I agree with @denisegoldberg, this kind of behaviour needs to be flat out discouraged.
I'm not sure why anyone still shoots on railroad tracks as it has been done way too many times, plus it is illegal in most places whether the tracks are still in use or not.
