Fort Rock in the Oregon "outback"

A recent road adventure to Fort Rock, Oregon. Included are a few shots with people, so that you can sense the scale of the place. Note that we still had snow falling in Central Oregon yesterday, so the sage and bitterbrush have not yet begun to green (or blue) at all. That's why I decided to stick with black and white interpretations during this trip.

Great set. Wonderful textures, shapes, and clouds. Really like 1st and 4th. Might lighten the dark wedge of rock on the right, just a wee bit.

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Those pics rock me :) . In the first the big bushes in the foreground give a fine "distance effect" to the "small" mountains in the background.

Thanks, everyone! I'll be heading back there in a few weeks--perhaps things will have greened up by then.
