I don't understand why all the bulk tools reside within the <photo tools> dropdown, and not in the <gallery tools> dropdown.

Hi Winn,

The bulk photo tools (watermarking, color effects, captions/keywords etc) apply to photos. The gallery tools has settings that have to do with how the gallery is customized (themes, security, viewing style, categories, etc).

Does this help?

All the best,

Tradition? A couple of months ago there was no gallery tools dropbox. Don't change it if it ain't broken. :D
Would get confusing as most folks are used to the system.
I like it the way it is, because sometimes I deceide on the fly if I take the tool for one or all photo's! :D

Only thing that bother's me that I still haven't gotten my photo tools back in traditional view! <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="" >

All the best,
What I don't understand is why bulk photo tools are not visible when viewing the gallery. Perhaps the photo tools dropdown should be shortened to just bulk tools in the gallery, and then expanded to include all the tools on the photo page.

It seems silly to have to click on a random photo to modify settings that affect the entire gallery.

Hi Winn,

I'll ask JT why we don't have the photo tools dropdown on traditional, all thumbs, journal, and slidshow styles. FYI the menu is there on SmugMug Small, SmugMug, and Filmstrip styles.

Thanks for your input!

Eventually I will go through and split up the tools so they make more sense and every style (minus all thumbs - it would just clutter up the screen) will get the photo tools drop down.

Recently slideshow got the photo tools drop down.

Good news you're still on this as I've been waiting for this since it got removed from traditional view.
