RX100 V finally on the way :)

I am very new to photography but after doing some research online and reading lots of reviews I finally purchased RX 100 V. The camera is due to arrive tomorrow. It's going to be used for our baby announcement pictures. We are going pumpkin picking and going to ask random strangers to take few pictures for us.
Any tips for the camera?

    Congrats! It's an amazing little camera. You won't be putting it anywhere near it's capabilities at the pumpkin patch of course. Just put it in Auto or P mode (my favorite for quick shots) and snap away. The video capabilities are wonderful too. It dynamically focuses and allows zooming while shooting making it real easy to get professional looking vids.

    You'll definitely want an extra battery or two if you didn't get one already. They don't last that long and you don't want to get stuck. A wall charger for the battery is a good investment as well.
