The Village Pond

Although I have passed within 50 yards of this spot many times, I'm sorry to say I didn't even know it was there. The village pond at Cromford near Matlock Bath in Derbyshire is a typical English village pond with its fair share of ducks and a pair of swans. If you look closely there is also a Grey Heron on the small island, something I hadn't noticed when I shot the image.

What a great place to visit, especially if you're carrying a camera.

Nice picture and seems like very peaceful village, would love to walk around.
