Video link only posting an image on Facebook?

I've been absent for awhile now, but I'm still alive! I can't find info on the current state of this option. Is it possible to post a URL to a video on places like FB, and have it be clickable and playable inside the app? Or at least to click the image which seems to be the default result, and go to my smugmug site and play the video automatically there? I tried via the Smugmug App on my android, which let me post to Messenger, but the result was only an image and nothing was clickable.

Sorry, I see this is two topics, one sharing from a standard browser and the other from the SM app on phones.
