What happened to smugvault?

I can no longer find any reference to smugvault. I have several images I uploaded to it some time ago and still get small monthly charges from amazon for the storage. Do I need to somehow access it directly through Amazon. Another message refers to the cancellation of smug vault. I don't recall ever having been notified of cancellation, nor of being given instructions about how to access the images stored with amazon's servers.
I must have missed it if a change was made.

Amazon announced they were shutting down the service that SmugVault runs on, so we disabled new customers from signing up for it, though we've continued to let current SmugVault enabled customers upload into it. We have a plan in place to move all your photos out of SmugVault before Amazon shuts the service down. You'll see details of this soon but it should still be accessible for you unless you manually canceled it (which it doesn't sound like if you're still getting a small charge every month).

Are there more details on this yet? I.e. where are our photos moving to, if we had SmugVault? (And if Heroes are seeing this message... no worries about confusion between this question & the other weird issues going on with my Amazon payments card currently-- I'm actually on the phone with them :"as we speak"! It's just that I still haven't heard what's happening to our files in place of AWS, & am curious! ) Thanks for any info. I'm headed overseas soon & am trying to get any & all possible uploading issues ironed out before then.

It sounds like you're already in touch with the Heroes about your SmugVault, so you should have the most up-to-date information.

Most customers have their SmugVault files moved from Amazon's services to our own SmugMug storage and continue using SmugVault for free (for now). There's still a few remaining people and we'll be in contact or have already been in contact with everyone.

Ok, good to know. I didn't have any up-to-date info about what would happen to my SmugVault files once moved off Amazon (if I can get them restoreed... this is still being worked on by Amazon). I didn't know if SmugMug had enough storage capacity for all the SmugVault files. Glad to know we have a temporary solution at least.

Any updates on this?? I'm finishing the last of my tax prep and I can't find the billing receipts online like usual. Nor via Smugmug and now I'm very concerned about my RAW files.
