Sudden change in gallery descriptions

All of a sudden starting with the 2018-01-25 gallery using mobile Firefox browser is showing the feature photo in stead of gallery description (see right screen shot). 100's of galleries back to 2005 all show the gallery description as in left screen shot.
I can find nothing in CSS changing this between these dates. These are the only rules in my CSS I can find affecting this area.
Any help would be appreciated. Only see this on iPhone 6s as that is all I have. Both Safari and Firefox mobile act this way.
Thanks

Notice the description missing in 1/25/2018 right screen shot. Like this going forward.
Link to left gallery. Click next on < Previous | gallery | Next > for later galleries. Notice that nav is not available without description showing going forward on mobile.

None of the going forward galleries with overridden descriptions are set to "This gallery Only". So any CSS would have to apply individually to every gallery or flow down from somewhere. Flow downs, parentnode, only can be activated at a folder level. This change happens instead between galleries in a folder not at a folder.

Best I can find this starts at my 2018-01-25 gallery and later. I did find a few galleries that are ok.
Every one of these galleries were created exactly the same including the description. So it seems
    very random.
Jan. - 2 galleries ok 2 galleries bad
    Feb. - 1 ok 4 bad
    Mar. - 0 ok 6 bad
    Apr. - 0 ok 8 bad
    May - 1 ok 6 bad
    Jun. - 1 ok 1 bad

Just noticed this also shows in "Responsive Design Mode" in Firefox for iPhone 6s.
Using "Responsive Design Mode" in Firefox, one possible hint: If I change devices
between iPhone 6s and Nokia Lumia 520, refreshing page with each change, the Nokia is ok?

If I was to guess it's a glitch in the switching to mobile devices not recognizing the manual coding for gallery descriptions, instead reverting to the not wanted cover photo.

    Think I found a fix.
Go into every bad gallery's settings.
    Go to Appearance tab
    Switch to Thumbnail style
    Toggle Gallery Cover Image OFF
Switch back to Appearance of Smugmug (Default)
    Save

    Back into Settings
Add new Quick Settings (new version in my case Birds 2018v3)
When applied to another gallery it shows only change as "Set Cover Photo OFF"

Now it's a mater of going to every bad gallery and setting the new Quick Setting.

Going forward use this new Quick Setting version on all new galleries.
This combo now shows when applying new Quick Setting on new gallery.
    Show Filenames On
    Proof Delay 7 Days
    Gallery Cover Image Off
    Apply Watermark On
    Select Watermark 2018 WM
    Slideshow Off

The real problem is that Smugmug did not add "Gallery Cover Image" ON/Off to the
gallery settings appearance page for the Smugmug style.
    Please fix
    Thanks
