Criticism is always welcome.
Both are lovely, Don. I'm curious about the light in #2--did you use a flash or reflector? HDR? Post-processing magic? The result is quite striking in any event.
The composition of #2 is also excellent... in lining up the light sources
I really like the second image, both the exposure and the composition stand out to me.
Richard, denise, rags, thanks for the comments. Richard, in the second I used a flash bounced off a reflector. I tried various approaches and that one worked best. There wasn't much processing for either one.
Masterful Don! Bravo!!
Thanks very much, Taz.
The light in no 2 is excellent.
Willard, Cristobal, belated thanks! I've been traveling and off the internet but I appreciate the comments.
The subtle colors and textures in the first are beautiful. I have done a few shots of that sort, but I haven't managed to capture that variety.
paddler4, I've taken many photos of agaves and I've failed far more than I've succeeded. Thanks. I'm fond of the first one.
A great set! Love the abstract view of #1 and the color, light and composition of #2.
