Winter Art

I capture this image with my phone during the recent, Seattle, Snowmagedden 2019. processed in the phone with added contrast and saturation. Now that I see it on a computer screen, it is a bit over saturated.

That's sure an attention getter, Phil. I don't feel it's over saturated. Those popping red berries make the shot. Good find, buddy. Your phone work blows me away.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I like it. The random distribution of red berries makes a nice pattern.

Nice. I don't think the saturation is a problem--you want the red to stand out, I think.

Thanks Tom. I haven't had much time in awhile to chase the light seriously, but certain things catch the eye, and you have to use the tools at hand. It had been so long since I picked up the SLR, that when I went to use it for a shot of a nice buck laying in the snow, in my backyard, the batteries were dead. They're charged now!

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I saw this tree and had a vision of the shot I wanted. 20 years ago I might have kept driving, but I learned that the shot won't be there when you get a chance to go back, it'll be different. People that ride with me frequently, are used to me whipping off to the side of the road, or pulling a crazy Ivan, to get a picture.

Phil, I like it as is--the red needs to stand out to make this shot and it does. Very nice capture!

Fun shot Phil... and I can truly appreciate the experience of snow in Seattle, having survived the great Christmas blizzard of 1991, including a 17-hour power outage.

Cristóbal, and Sara, Thanks for viewing and commenting. Sara, we still have 4-5 inches of snow in the yard, and the possibility of more to come.

I like the color contrast, Phil. The saturation helps.

I like the way the red pops a bit - It adds to the depth of the image. I'd leave it as is.
