    Thanks Taz and David. This is a beautiful trail in central Brazil, the rain in the first shot eventually caught up with us and we enjoyed a pretty wet start. The waterfall at the end of the trail is worth getting soaked and the 18k hike 😊

    Good stuff. That looks to be some pretty serious hiking territory.

    I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Thanks friends, I looked up images for Calliandra eriophylla and they sure look very similar. The ecosystem in Central Brazil is called the Cerrado, it is extremely diverse and harsh. Heavy rains for six months and dry as bone the other six.
