Drop shadows on top link but not wanting on sidebar

We've got drop shadows in our top menu, via CSS, but don't want it to appear on the sidebar menus. Anyone have a clue how to just address it to the top and not the sides?

Side Menu: .vertical .sm-page-widget-nav-toplink a { ... }
