The bug that lays the golden egg

Found this object by itself on the top side of a camellia leaf. It's just under 2mm long and a beautiful golden iridescent colouration.
Decided it must be an insect egg although a bit strange to only find one on the leaf. Doing a bit of a search and some guesswork suggested it is the egg of a box bug Gonocerus acuteangulatus That I have seen recently in the garden.
Anyway thought it was a rather beautiful object.
